About Kaya Ko Designs

Hi! I’m Cherry, yes, like the fruit, and I’m the illustrator behind Kaya Ko Designs. I named my studio after the Filipino phrase Kaya Ko, which means “I can.” To me, it’s a reminder to stop overthinking and just try things. Sometimes that means exploring a new trail. Sometimes it means opening a blank canvas and seeing what happens.

I create fully hand-drawn digital illustrations and repeat patterns for licensing, products, and collaborations. My work is playful, relaxed, and a little outdoorsy, with inspiration pulled from travel, local trails, everyday life, and the kinds of moments that make people slow down and enjoy themselves. I tend to gravitate toward art that feels approachable and unfussy. Think sunny afternoons, camp trips, good food, a glass of wine, and laughing too hard with friends.

While I work digitally, everything starts by hand and keeps that slightly imperfect human feel that I love. I want my art to feel easygoing and natural, whether it ends up on fabric, outdoor gear, home decor, greeting cards, or paper goods.

At the end of the day, I just like making artwork that feels fun to live with. If it brings a little personality and joy into someone’s everyday routine, then I’ve done my job.
